The Superintendent of Schools is the executive officer of the Board of Education and is responsible to the Board for the operation and maintenance of the schools in accordance with the rules, regulations and policies of the Board of Education. The Superintendent serves as a representative of the Board of Education and Meriden Public Schools at community and civic activities. The Superintendent's office maintains the records of all Board of Education meetings with the Superintendent's secretary also serving as secretary to the Board of Education.
