Dr. Steven J. O'Donnell

(D) Board of Education Member

Dr. O'Donnell was elected to the Board of Education in December of 2009. He is currently a member of the Meriden Board of Education Finance, Policy, and Contracts Committees.

Dr. O'Donnell would like to ensure that all students have the same opportunity to succeed in the educational process by providing the proper instruction and support. Dr. O'Donnell would like to see the facilitation of these goals being provided by parents, teachers, administration and the community as a whole.

Dr. O'Donnell has practiced in the Meriden area for 20 years and is an active member in the community. Currently he is a member of the Meriden Rotary Club; and a Board Member of The Girls, Inc.; and a member of the South Meriden Baseball Board of Directors. Dr. O'Donnell has been a basketball coach at St. Joseph School and baseball coach for the South Meriden Baseball League. Formerly, Dr. O'Donnell served on the East Haven Board of Education.

Dr. O'Donnell is the proud father of a Meriden public school student..
